1.         Change the narrative style of the following text.

            “Stop! you’re eating all our bread,” shouted the two rats. “I am doing my best, but I’ve told you it’s difficult,” said the monkey. “Give us that little piece,” said the rats. “This is my piece. Haven’t I done a lot of work for you?” replied the monkey. “How foolish we are believing you!” said the rats.

2.         Change the sentences according to directions.

            Bonsai is the art of growing trees in small containers.

    a. Bonsai tree may be 10 years old though it has a height of one foot only. (Make compound sentence)

    b. The art of Bonsai originated perhaps more than 1000 years ago in China. (Make complex sentence)

    c. Early Japanese aristocrats also showed fondness in Bonsai. (Make negative sentence)
