Authority of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) decided to take classes online one day in a week to save power and energy.
The decision was taken on Thursday at a meeting of the deans and faculty heads chaired by SUST Vice-Chancellor Farid Uddin Ahmed, reports UNB.
According to the decision, the classes will be held online and on other four days of the week the classes will be taken physically. This will be effective from next Thursday.VC Farid Uddin Ahmed said, “We are trying to stand beside people amid the national crisis caused by a global crisis. We will try to save 20 per cent fuel.”
He requested the department heads and teachers to ensure that the decision does not cause harm to the students.
