Police arrested 51 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Tuesday (August 16).                 

A total of 417 pieces of yaba, 10 packets of heroin, 30 injections, one bottle of local liquor and 47.971 Kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.

Thirty-three cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
