Police detained 25 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours. 

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Thursday (November 30). 

A total of 424 pieces of yaba, 80 grams of heroin, 260 bottles of phensidyl, and 54kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.    

Twenty cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
