Police detained 22 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours. 

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Tuesday (December 5). 

A total of 2,185 pieces of yaba, 72 grams of heroin, 50 bottles of phensidyl, 1 litre of foreign liquor, 30 tapentadol tablets and 154 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.    

Nineteen cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
