Police detained 46 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Monday (February 19).

A total of 10,182 pieces of yaba, 4 grams of heroin, 90 bottles of phensidyl, 10 litres of local liquor, 5 drug injections and 32 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.   

Thirty-four cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
