The number of population in the country is now 16,98,28,911, according to Bangladesh Statistics Bureau (BSB).

The information was revealed in national report publication event held on Tuesday in BSB auditorium in Agargaon of the capital.

Among the total population, the number of men are 841,34,003 and women are 856,86,784. In percentage, the men are 49.54% and women are rest 50.46%.
