Gen. Ibrahim purchases nomination forms for Dhaka 5, 14 constituencies

The Kalyan Party chairman major Gen. (retd.) Syed Muhammad Ibrahim purchased nomination forms to contest in two constituencies of Dhaka in 12^th national elections.

He purchased the nomination forms for Dhaka 5 and 14 constituencies through his representative from the office of Dhaka City Returning Officer.

Recenlty, he became talk of the town as he took decision to contest in the national elections coming out the BNP-led alliance.

Dhaka-5 Constituency consists of Demra and Jatrabari area of the capital. The current member of parliament of this constituency is former councilor of Dhaka South City Kazi Monirul Islam. In 2020, Awami League announced Kazi Monirul Islam as the candidate for the by-election after the death of Habibur Rahman Molla, the member of parliament (MP) of this constituency. Later, Monirul became a MP of this constituency.
