Bangladeshi Presence Flourishes at '10th Asia Apparel Expo'

The 10th edition of Asia Apparel Expo, held from February 19 to 21 in Berlin, Germany, has showcased a remarkable display of Bangladeshi apparel products, fostering lucrative business opportunities for participating companies, reports BSS.

Organized by ComAsia Ltd., this milestone edition of the expo attracted over 450 premier Asian companies from seven Asian countries. Those are: Bangladesh, Vietnam, Pakistan, India, Thailand, Turkey and Taiwan, said a press release.

Seventeen Bangladeshi companies represented the nation's vibrant apparel industry through the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) along with 3 companies that participated through their own arrangement.

These companies have showcased a diverse array of products, ranging from men's wear, women's wear, children's wear, denim, knitwear, to accessories, reflecting Bangladesh's prowess in the global apparel market.

Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, ambassador of Bangladesh to Germany, graced the event with his presence, engaging with each exhibitor from Bangladesh and inspecting their stalls.

His enthusiasm and support underscored the commitment to promoting Bangladeshi products on the global stage.

He lauded their commitment to excellence, noting the pivotal role they play in driving Bangladesh's exports to new heights.

Highlighting the significance of Bangladesh's participation, Md Saiful Islam, Minister (Commercial) of the Bangladesh Embassy in Berlin, emphasized the strategic role of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) in facilitating and coordinating the fair.

Md Saiful Islam said through EPB's support, Bangladeshi companies have secured a prominent platform to exhibit their products, forging valuable connections with international buyers and stakeholders.

With Bangladesh's total exports to Germany reaching unprecedented levels, surpassing 7.5 billion, the country continues to strengthen its position as a leading supplier of apparel products in the global market. This positive trajectory underscores the resilience and dynamism of Bangladesh's apparel sector, poised for sustained growth and expansion in the years ahead.
