Bangladeshi people were involved in the murder of Jhenaidah-4 MP Anwarul Azim Anar in Kolkata, Home Minister Asaduzzman Khan Kamal said on Wednesday, reports Daily Sun.
“It is a planned murder and Bangladesh people were involved. Police are interrogating three suspects who have been arrested in this connection. We cannot disclose all information now for the sake of the investigation,” Kamal said.
While briefing the journalists this noon, Kamal said, “It is not a matter of the two states. Bangladesh mission is in touch with Kolkata police to know the details regarding the murder.”The body of Anwarul Azim was recovered from Kolkata eight days after his missing in India.
Anwarul Azim went to India through Darshana border on 12 May. He was in contact with the family till 14 May. However, there was no information regarding his whereabouts since 16 May.
