The court granted eight-day remand to the three accused arrested over the murder of Jhenaidah-4 Constituency MP Anwarul Azim Anar took place in Kolkata. One of the arrestees, Shilasti Rahman, hid her face from the camera while being taken to the court on Friday.
Later, when she was taken to the court dock, she started crying. Before the hearing in the court, Shilasti Rahman said, "How can I be an accused?" She asked. I was just in that house. I don't know anything else.”
It is known that Shilasti Rahman, the woman named in the murder of MP Anwarul Azim Anar, wanted to become a model. But this young girl from old Dhaka got involved with the underworld in the clutches of rich Akteruzzaman Shaheen. Shaheen, who holds an American passport, used to travel with her whenever he came to the country. She also used to participate in various parties in Shaheen's flat. The name of Shilasti Rahman, whose other name is Cele Niski, came to spotlight as the girlfriend of mastermind Shaheen after the murder of MP Anar in committed in Kolkata.According to sources related to the investigation, after killing MP Anar in Kolkata on May 13, the main killer Amanullah alias Shimul Bhuiyan moved to Dhaka on May 15. Shaheen's girlfriend Shilasti Rahman returned from Kolkata to Dhaka on the same flight with him and moved from the airport to Shaheen's elite flat in Dhaka. Having succeeded in killing the MP, Shaheen organized a celebration party there that night. This Shilasti alias Cele Nisky entertained them there. Earlier, she went to Kolkata with Shaheen on April 30. Shaheen returned home on May 10 but Shilasti was living in Kolkata.
Sources related to the investigation said that Shilasti's village home is in Nagarpur of Tangail. But she grew up in Old Dhaka. Of course, she went to the places of the wealthy and lived in the elite flats of Uttara. Sources also said that Shaheen, the mastermind of the murder, can set a trap to take MP Anar to Kolkata. Maybe MP Anar gave his life by stepping on that honey trap.
Meanwhile, in a CCTV footage of the flat that MP Anar visited in Kolkata's Sanjiba Garden it was seen that MP Anar went there with two people, but did not come out alive. According to the footage, MP Anar entered the said flat in Sanjeeva Garden at 2:51 PM on May 13. Shimul Bhuiyan and his associate Faisal were with him at that time. MP Annar calmly puts his shoes on the rack outside the door. Later he entered the flat.
After a few hours, Shimul Bhuiyan alias Amanullah came out with a luggage in his hand. Then another person came out with a polythene bag. Shimul locked the door while leaving. They went down the elevator and went out. According to the intelligence source, the pieced body parts of killed MP Anar were in those luggage and bag.
