A statue made of touchstone, weighing 34 kg, was recovered from a pond while workers were digging in it at Thakurgaon Sadar upazila, reports UNB.

The workers said they spotted the statue while digging at a pond in Bohupukur area of Paschim Begunbari Rajapukur Bazar under Begunbari union Saturday noon.

Local UP Chairman Boni Amin said the statue weighed 33.80 kg.

Sadar police station’s Officer-in-Charge ABM Firoz Wahid said on information they recovered the statue and kept it under their custody.
