Cyclone Remal: Leave of all officials, employees of ministries cancelled

The leave of the officers and employees of all ministries, along with all divisions and agencies under it, including the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, has been canceled in order to deal with the disaster and stand by the affected people.

This information was given by State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Mohibbur Rahman.

He said this at the end of the inter-ministerial disaster management coordination committee meeting in the conference room of the ministry of disaster management and relief at the secretariat on Sunday.

The state minister said more than 8 lakh people have already come to the shelter. The rest are invited to come. Schools in coastal areas will remain open for the time being but classes will be closed.

Besides, the state minister announced to close the Bangabandhu Tunnel from this evening till Monday morning.
