The land depression lies over Sylhet and adjoining area is likely to move North Eastwards and weaken gradually.

Under its influence steep pressure gradient persists over North Bay, according to latest weather situation released by the cyclone warning center of the meteorological department on Tuesday.

Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal number three.

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice, added the weather office.
