ACC files case against ex-VAT commissionerate

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has lodged a case against a former VAT commissionerate, alleging improper interest waivers worth Tk 152 crore granted to four mobile operators-- Grameenphone, Robi, Banglalink and Airtel.

ACC Assistant Director Shah Alam filed the case against former VAT commissionerate Wahida Rahman with the commission’s Dhaka Integrated Office-1 on Tuesday, Daily Sun reports.
